새 신발

새 신발을 신겨 출가 시키려는 어머니, 삼형제 중 막내 상구의 출가하는 날의 이야기. (It's a story about a mother and her youngest son out of three boys who is about to enter the Buddhist priesthood. The mother wants his son to wear the new shoes she bought for him on the day he leaves home.)  연출의도. 떠나보내는 사람의 마음과 떠나는 사람의 마음. 어떠한 결과 보다 각자 그 사람의 마음이 의미 있는 것이라고 생각한다. 결과가 자신의 마음과 같지 않다는 것은 어쩌면 당연히 받아들여야 하는 것 아닌가? 본래 그 사람을 향한 마음, 그 마음이 고귀하고 아름다운 것이라고 생각한다. (The heart of the one who is leaving and the heart of the one who is being left… Not every time we get the result as we planned and we all live with such an irony for granted.
