새

어느 평화로운 날, 새들은 갯벌에서 휴식을 취하고 있다. 여기저기 뛰어다니며 먹이도 먹고, 구애를 하기도 한다. 그렇게 하루해가 질 무렵, 기계소리가 들리기 시작한다. 기계소리는 점차 굉음이 되어가고, 놀란 새들은 힘없이 땅으로 떨어진다. 땅은 이미 썩어있는 모습이다. 붉은 노을이 지고, 멀리 보이는 중자이의 그림자가, 새들의 주검을 덮는다. (On a peaceful day, birds take a rest on the tideland. They feed and court running here and there. By evening, machine noise is heard, that becomes roaringly loud. Shocked birds fall down on the ground feebly. The earth looks rotten already. Under the red evening sky, the shadow of the heavy equipment far away overcasts the remains.)  연출의도. 눈앞의 이득만을 위해 갯벌을 매립하려는 사람들이 있다. 이러한 이기심으로 인해 파괴되는 자연환경을 보여줌으로써 경각심을 불러일으키고자 한다. (There are short-sighted people to reclaim the tideland from the sea for immediate gains.
