귀로

서울의 외진 달동네에 의지할 가족 없이 혼자 살고 있는 기영. 험난한 세상사리에, 그리고 지독한 외로움에 삭막해져버린 그의 모슴에선 그 어떤 희망도 발견하기 힘들다. 그런데 어느날 자신의 집이 재개발 철거지역으로 공시가 되고, 쉬는 날도 없이 일하던 기영은 오랜 시간 동안 찾지 않았던 자신의 옛고향으로 여행을 떠난다. 고향으로 내려가는 기차 안에서 어린 시절의 옛 향수에 잠기고, 그의 기억 속에서 그가 그간 고향을 찾을 수 없었던 이유가 댐 수몰로 자신의 고향이 물에 잠긴 탓이라는 것이 드러난다. (Gi-young lives in the hillside slums of Seoul alone without any family. He has been working restlessly. It is hard to find any hope from him who is already desolated through his life and the mortal loneliness. A government notice of redevelopment of the area gets posted one day.   He departs for his hometown for a visit knowing his house will be torn down soon or later. In the train back to his hometown, he reminisces about the old days and the real reason which didn't allow him to go back becomes revealed.)   연출의도. 사라져 가는 것들에 대한 아쉬움과 자연에 대한 인간 회귀 본능을 담아내는 영화로, 산업화 사회에서 황폐해 가는 심성에 초점을 맞춰 서정적인 드라마를 만들고자 했다. (The movie feels sorry for what has becoming missing in the modern world and also tells about the homing instinct of a man to nature.
