실연 당할 위기에 놓인 승환은 오랜 친구인 수연에게 찾아가 자신의 상황과 심정을 털어놓으며 상담을 청한다. 소설가인 그녀는, 그가 안쓰러우면서도 한편으로는 답답해하고, 그의 입장을 이해하고 동화하는가 하면, 다시 객관적인 눈으로 상황을 판단하며 그의 이야기를 듣는다. 그리고 집으로 돌아와 친구의 이야기를 소설로 옮기는 그녀. 알 수 없는 비애가 그녀를 괴롭힌다. (A man facing with a tough situation of being dumped by his girl friend, visits his long time female friend who is a novelist. While listening to him, she feels sometimes pity, sometimes sympathy and irritation. She begins to write down her friend's story for a new novel. An undescribable feeling of sorrow takes over as she continues to write.)  연출의도. 대중영화와 개인적인 영화의 경계, 사실과 허구의 경계, 현재와 과거의 경계, 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것의 경계, 머리와 가슴의 경계, 나와 타인의 경계, Non-diegetic sound로서의 음악과 On Sound로서의 음악과의 경계, 그 경계선들을 허물어 보고 싶었다. 그러다 보니, 장편과 단편 사이의 경계도 허물어져 버렸다. (I wanted to tear down the wall in between popular film and personal film, fact and fiction, present and past, visible and invisible, brain and heart, me and others, and non-diegetic sounds and diegetic sound.
